#SKILLS: How can I use AI systems for my research data? A beginner's workshop
Strengthen your skills: The IDea_Lab skills workshops offer members of the university of Graz the opportunity to deepen their know-how on AI, Big Data and data-driven research. The workshops are characterized by their focus on cutting-edge technology topics and their hands-on character.
The following topics will be covered in the workshop: explanation of terms for Tensorflow, using existing tensorflow models, complicating and training models, splitting data into training and test data, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for image recognition, processing sound files with AI, etc.
The workshop will be held in English.
Prerequisites:
own laptop with Google account
interest in programming (Python basic knowledge is an advantage)
The flyer for the event can be found here.
Please register for the workshop via Eventbrite (relevant data protection declearation) or e-mail us at idealab(at)uni-graz.at!
The workshop is lead by Assoc. Prof. Manfred Hartbauer
Manfred Hartbauer is a scientist at the University of Graz and conducts research in the field of neuroethology and sensory processing of insect information. The results from his research inform application-oriented research and are used for the control of insect pests, improved night vision, and digital image denoising.
