On November 28, 2024, the Rectorate of the University of Graz officially adopted the institution’s new Research Data Governance Policy.
In the age of "datafication" and a constantly increasing volume of research data, the topics of research data governance and research data management - including data protection and data security - are highly relevant. Sustainable management of research data safeguards good scientific practice and integrity, opens up new potential for research, and fulfils social responsibility.
The policy lays the foundation for not only enabling cutting-edge research in the context of the digital transformation, but also actively promoting it.
The guideline lays the foundation for not only enabling, but also actively promoting cutting-edge research at the University of Graz, even under the volatile challenges posed by the digital transformation. To this end, innovations in the areas of services, technology and infrastructure will be implemented over the next few years.
